Son of God is officially released!

Hello everyone!

Before I get started, I want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my comic.  Without the encouragement of my friends and family, I would have never gotten to finish this.  Son of God was a passion project and has really pushed me to become more resilient.  Thank you all.

So, the moment has come, and the book is officially out.  The book has been a long time coming, and has been finished for quite a while.  I finally finished up my website, got my blog going, and did as much promotions as a new father could to make Son of God have the launch it deserves.  I have worked with great websites and news sources that have treated me very well, and I will be sending out another blog post later thanking them for all their support.

If you want to buy a digital copy, my comic will be on sale for the launch week, which you can purchase here.  

If you would like a physical copy, the comic will be on shelves here in Ottawa at both Comic Book Shoppe locations as well as at Wizards Tower.  Both of these comic shops have been very generous to me, and I've been shopping at both for a long time now.  Please stop by and pick up a copy.

Lastly, I want to thank anyone who may be reading this for supporting a small aspiring comic writer.  Please continue to support the comic by tweeting and spreading the word!

Super Mario RPG

This was Square taking on the Mario franchise, and it took it to very weird places. Being Square in the heart of their JRPG golden years, they definitely delivered on a great and fun RPG... but something was a bit off. The Mario characters they used were done great, but Mario RPG introduced a number of characters that have never been seen again. Not only this, but the bad guys did not suit the rest of the Mario franchise built up before Mario RPG in look or tone. This all cumulated into a Mario game that didn't feel like it was in the Mushroom Kingdom (much like Mario 2 on the NES, but that's because it was all a dream). Despite the odd tone, the game was fun... really fun. A simple and cute and funny JRPG that is still loved by many.

Beast Wars

This may seem strange to anyone who didn't grow up in Canada, but Beast Wars was called Beasties here. Weird right? I wasn't into the Transformers cartoons, I had missed it by a few years. I saw the toys and understood the appeal, but it was never for me. Beasties was one I would end up watching years later, and I thought it was pretty good. At the time the CGI was pretty decent and I remember I'd watch it pretty much everyday afterschool.

Elvis - I want you, I needyou, I love you

It was a karaoke night like any other. We were settling into our standards of Backstreet Boys, Bon Jovi and Spice Girls. The standards that we usually sing were in full force, and I had just finished 'A Whole New World' 3 songs back.  Should I go to some Michael Jackson? no, I need something different. Something they wouldn't expect and maybe some of them haven't heard before.  That's when I saw it, one of my favourite Elvis songs that I feel gets a bit under played.

For those who aren't Elvis inclined, shame on you. For those who are? give this song another listen and if no one is around really lay that Elvis voice thick while you belt this one out. It's more fun than you remember

Books have arrived!

Hey everyone!

Just a quick update that my copies of 'Son of God' have arrived!  On top of this, I have also gotten my stickers that will help promote my website too!  Everything is really coming together and it's pretty exciting to see this finally happening.  Here are some pictures I took with my phone to mark the arrival of my stuff.
